Join 300+ leaders from across NS on April 9, 2015

Welcome to the thirty-fourth Nova Scotia Leadership Prayer Breakfast. We are pleased to announce Halifax Mayor, Mike Savage as our speaker for the 2015 Prayer Breakfast.

Mayor Savage grew up in Dartmouth and attended St. Thomas More Catholic Church. His family gmembers were devoted Church goers - rarely missing Mass. His parents were involved in a variety of community service activities including working at homeless shelters, setting up programs for youth in impoverished areas, and they established a medical center in Africa which still bears his father’s name. This upbringing helped to mold Mike’s values and character.  As a youth, Mike was active as an altar server, reader and youth delegate to various church events. All of the Savage children attended religious education classes all the way through their schooling. Currently, the Mayor and his wife  are parishioners of St. Luke's Anglican Church and continue to be very active in church life, even with their busy schedule. Mrs. Savage is the superitendant for the Sunday school program and Mike is a reader. Both as an MP and Mayor, he is often invited to attend different faith communities for worship, and does so whenever possible. Mike says that sharing in that manner is one of the delights of his position.

The purpose of the  Nova Scotia Leadership Prayer Breakfast is to provide those in leadership  positions the opportunity to gather for prayer, inspiration and fellowship in  the spirit of Jesus Christ.

Mark your calendars now and set aside April 9, 2015 to join us and 300+ other leaders from across Nova Scotia for the breakfast.

  • "I welcome every interested person: those who have attended before, and those who have not, to come and join us for this important event. You will likely see people you know, be inspired by the speaker, and leave with a new sense of purpose. See you there."Bruce Havill, Steering Committee Chair
